Compatibility in a Relationship

Dec 22, 2008 Author: Ada Denis | Filed under: Relationship
Two people get together, they fall in love - that goes on, in a multitude of different ways, thousands of times all over the world. Then, if they’re lucky and everything goes well, they determine that since they love each other so much, they want to remain together and share a place.

Now, for tied as well as divorced pairs, they have to adapt to a new situation: Every-day-life decisions look on two people’s opinions, preferences and wishes instead of one before.

In single life, one’s the only instance of determination on what party to go to, when to clean the place, what to wearing, what to eat and where to go on holiday.

And this independence, being an advantage in the situations lined above, can turn into a problem when it comes to living together. Suddenly, determinations require to be agreed upon by both parties, and compromises have to be made. Particularly in the first time of living together, those incompatibilities can lead to the actions described above.

For example when we feel angry it shows that something is not right. When we feel frustrated it means that things can be better. And so on.

However it is when we become too emotional or easily influenced by emotions that problems start to arise.

Never ever avoid, ignore or pent up your emotions. Whenever you have any emotions, you should acknowledge it’s existence and give it the attention it needs. Try to understand the message that the emotion is trying to tell you. And then try your best to respond to that emotion’s message in the best way possible.

Dec 20, 2008 Author: Matt Hellstrom | Filed under: Family

The answers I was looking for I found, thankfully, in the Total Transformation program. It was as if Dr. Lehman looked right inside me and pointed out the areas that were blocking my abilities to parent my kids well. These were things that made my parenting fail more than I wanted.
