The doctor has found a small lump in your breast. Or maybe you’re a man and your PSA is elevating higher than the normal levels recommended. The doctor suspects that it might be cancer. The doctor wants to start some invasive procedure to prevent any spreading (after biopsy of course).
So you want to know how you can prevent cancer from spreading. Even though surgery helps many times it does not guarantee that the cancer has not already started to spread. Studies show that woman with small cancerous lumps in the breast already have thousands of cancer cells floating in the bloodstream.
So how can you prevent cancer cells from spreading? Believe it or not there are things you can do to prevent this. But first you must understand how cancer tends to spread.
What I am going to explain is just one of the mechanisms that cancer uses to spread. Understanding cancer’s spreading mechanisms helps you know how to counteract these mechanisms.
Oh by the way, a malignant cell spreading to other parts of the body is called metastases.
Cancer has an interesting way of spreading. Normal cells are attached to a wall of tissue (collagen). All cells are attached to something. And when cells become detached they automatically self destruct. But cancer cells are different. They can detach and not die. They have overcome this mechanism. But they also have another mechanism. For malignant cells to detach from this tissue wall they have to literally “drill” themselves out.
They produce a chemical called elastase that dissolves the tissue and permits them to detach and enter the blood stream. Then they float in the blood until they get trapped in a small blood vessel. It is here where they again have to use their chemical “drill” to enter another location of the body and form a distant tumor.
God has provided in nature substances that can neutralize this drill.
There are two:
1. Echinacea. This herb has the capacity to neutralize the elastase and other chemicals produced by malignant cells
2. And the common vitamin C. Vitamin C has two properties. It strengthens tissue making it difficult for bad cells to use their chemical drill effectively. And Vitamin C also neutralizes elastase.
Echinacea is a common herb that can be found in the health foods store. It is recommended to use at least 2- 4 cups a day.
The minimum amount of Vitamin C needed to have this effect is 3000 mgs. Eat a diet high in fruits, berries and veggies can also provide at least 300 mgs of vitamin C in your diet.
