You know its not easy to deal with a constant eye twitching if you’ve ever had one. Sometimes it starts off only in your left eye, but then spreads to both. Both eyes almost never twitch at the same time though.
Again the main cause of this is probably either stress or lack of sleep. Well sometimes we’re too busy and just don’t have time to get more rest and this constant twitching under the eye can get really annoying!
There are some other things you can try:
* The first thing you should try is to eat more vegetables and fruits. Foods with a lot of potassium, such as bananas, are also good for dealing with constant eye twitches. They are sometimes caused by not enough potassium.
* If you drink a lot of pop or alcohol, that dehydrates you. Start drinking water.
* Try to stop thinking about your eye twitch and eventually it should go away! Thinking about it all the time only causes you more anxiety, and further irritation on your eye.
* There really is no treatment for a twitching eye, so a doctor won’t give you much help. But an eye twitch could be a sign that your eyes are getting bad and you might need to go get checked for glasses.
* Hey, I know we all hate getting up in the morning and going to work.. so we drink coffee to get us going. Well, coffee is FULL of caffeine. Cutting down on how much caffeine you drink could help.
* If you’ve never tried it, acupuncture might sound kind of extreme, but many have had very good luck in stopping there eye twitch by acupuncture.
To really get rid of your eye twitch you will need to get some good sleep.
Try doing some yoga if your going through a lot of stress, it can be very relaxing. Stress is thought to be the number one cause of disease in humans.
