Urinary tract infection, or UTI, is colonization of microorganisms in the urinary tract in such an amount and such a way that damages or symptoms are produced. When only the urethra and the bladder is affected, it is called lower urinary tract infection. When the ureters and the kidneys are affected, the name used is “upper urinary tract infection”.

WHAT CAUSES URINARY TRACT INFECTION

UTI is commonly caused by bacteria that also are present in the normal flora in and around body openings and in the digestive tract, as for example the bacterium Escherichia Coli. Most often the bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethral opening. Women more easily get urinary tract infection because they have a shorter urethra so that the bacteria have a shorter way to get into the bladder.

Kidney stones are one of the more painful kidney diseases known. If you’ve ever had a symptom of kidney stones, you’ll never forget what it feels like.

Now, what are kidney stones? Why do people call them “stones”? Why should learning about passing a kidney stone be so important.

These “stones” are crystal-like structures which get formed in the kidney. They are often hard in texture. They get formed due to the build up of mineral salts and other substances inside the kidney.

Struvite stones, uric acid stones, calcium stones and cystine stones are some types of these kidney stones. The main area of the stone is composed of crystal-like material. The surrounding section of the stones consists of various layers.

Unless you’ve ever experienced a kidney stone, you cannot imagine the type of pain it can cause. In fact, it is the pain that will lead you to the doctor’s office and their diagnosis. Depending upon your particular medical situation, kidney stones treatment may vary.

Pain medication: When the stone is less than 5mm, your doctor will more than likely issue you pain medication to get you through this time. During the process, make sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids as the one thing that you do not want to do is dehydrate as it will only make matters worse.

Alpha-blockers: There are times when the process seems to take longer than it should and this is usually nothing to worry about. More than likely, the alpha-blockers will relax your body and allow the stone to pass much easier. You will still continue with the pain meds and water as well in this situation.

How crucial is kidney stone treatment?

Imagine this and then decide. The torture stones bring on, is equivalent to a bayonet in the back. Think how a person would be feeling if someone picked up a blade, used it to punch a hole inside them, and furthermore twisted it each 2 or 3 seconds.

Stones in the kidney are followed by terrible pain which is difficult to bear and people who have suffered will be aware of this. When you have developed kidney stone once there is almost fifty percent possibility of getting another kidney stone in future. It is one of the most often found and agonizing urinary tract conditions. In fact men have greater chances of developing kidney stones. When a person is aware he looks for ways of natural treatment for kidney stone to help in the healing process.

There is no cure better than prevention. It is seen that most of the times dehydration is the cause for stones in kidney. The best way to cure kidney stone is to drink a lot of water during the day. It is important to have enough water to pass about two quarts of urine in a day. There are some people who think that cranberry juice helps in curing kidney stone problem but this is not true. It helps in averting infection in the urinary tract though. You can have lemonade with the required amount of water as it is a good treatment for kidney stone. The stones in the kidney do not form due to the citric acid in the lemonade and is good for people with kidney stones. You will reduce your risk of kidney stones in future by having two glasses of lemonade in a day with regular water by almost 5 percent.
