Knowing when your ovulation is not only beneficial if you are trying to get pregnant. If you are planning to have a child with a gender that you and your partner prefer, determining when you ovulate is a key factor in some methods of choosing your baby’s gender naturally. The methods I am referring to has been proven effective by many women and couples around the world, and they are based on the theories by famous infertility treatment pioneer, Dr. Landrum Shettles.

Dr. Shettles’ Theories Explained:

Although Dr. Shettles is foremost a pioneer of infertility treatment, in fact, he is considered to be the father of In Vitro Fertilization or IVF, his popularity is largely dependent on his book that’s entitled, ‘How to Choose the Sex of your Baby’. The basis of his methods for baby gender predictions are based on his theories about the differences between the ‘X’ and ‘Y’ sperm, or in layman’s terms, the female producing and the male producing sperm. Out of Dr. Shettles observation came forth these different characteristics of each type of sperm. (more…)

Do you want to have babies but are unable to? It may be difficult to conceive, especially when your procreating years are waning. The late 20s or late 30s somehow bring on a decline in production of “creative” eggs. That compels women to go for fertility treatments just to get pregnant and have children before really hitting the mature age.

Most women decide to have a baby only after they’ve established with their careers, and that’s usually when you’re well into the third decade of your life. And when they reach that decision, these women go into it with all their systems going, meaning adjusting and revising every aspect of their lives for that. Lifestyles get overturned, including eating and dietary habits and exercise regimens.  To the end that that singleminded decision leads to obsessive behavior, to change from passive to overactive living. Sterility is the condition in which the person is totally biologically incapable to produce children. It is also known as infertility. Sterility is always spoken of as the problem of a couple rather than of an individual. The problem can be of either the male or the female partner, so in general, we say that the couple suffers from sterility. One of the preliminary steps in treating infertility is to determine whether the problem lies with the male or the female partner.

There are two types of sterility or infertility seen in people. The first type is known as primary sterility. This is when the couple has never conceived a child. The second type, known as secondary sterility occurs when the couple has conceived a child, but has had a miscarriage. Primary sterility can be due to the male or the female partner; but secondary sterility is only due to problems with the woman’s reproductive system. (more…)

During the first trimester of pregnancy, a woman may find herself waking up in the middle of the night to urinate. This is triggered by the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin or hCG, which prompts frequent urination.
