Dogs shed. They always have and they always will. It’s not something we can actually get rid of (unless you’re fond of a hairless dog). However, there are quite a few things that you can do to directly impact the frequency and severity of shedding in your beloved pet.

1. Grooming - Simple brushing of your dog on a daily basis can help with malting and shedding significantly. It will keep the coat softer, cleaner, and prevent shedding by reducing overall damage to the hair.

Kidney disease in cats is a common problem. It can be due to a number of factors such as accident, shock, old age or bacterial and viral infections. Natural remedies for cats with kidney disease can treat the condition and will improve the quality of your cat’s life.

Diet

Feed your cat a special kidney diet. Feed a protein rich diet of human-quality raw meat plus small quantities of a variety of herbs, fruit, grain and vegetables. A raw meat diet keeps blood urea nitrogen levels low, a protein waste product excreted through the kidneys. Heat-treated animal protein, as found in commercial foods, is more difficult to digest and creates more waste which the kidneys must deal with. Such a diet is more stressful to the kidneys and results in higher toxicity in the blood if the kidneys are not working properly. Raw protein, in comparison, digests more completely with less waste. The only true way to get rid of hairballs for good is by grooming your cat. Everything else is really a waste of time. Prevention of Hairballs

A cat uses its tongue to groom, which picks up loose fur. That fur is then swallowed and ends up in the stomach. Ear mites are the mites or parasites that can be found in the ears of pets that are infected with them, especially cats. Other pets like dogs, rabbits and cattle too can have these mites. The symptoms are quite clear. When a pet constantly scratches its ears or shakes its head in discomfort, it is sure to have ear mites. Some dogs with long ears are more likely to have ear mites, since mites find a good place to breed inside the moist ear, where the passage of air is very little. In extreme cases, it could lead to a dark coloured discharge, and later to deafness. It is contagious, and can easily spread from infected pets to healthy ones in the neighborhood.
